Design and build a custom bunk bed with wooden slide
When the owners of a beautiful property approached me with a unique request, I was more than happy to take up the challenge. They were looking for a bespoke wooden bunk bed with a slide, but after searching, they couldn't find anyone willing to take on the project, nor could they find a wooden slide that suited their vision. I was happy to help bring their idea to life.
The goal was clear: a functional, beautiful bunk bed for their son, complete with a safe, smooth slide made entirely of wood. After discussing their needs, I began designing a solution that would fit seamlessly into their space, while being practical and durable enough to withstand a lot of fun.
The real challenge was the slide. Since a plastic slide didn't fit in with the rustic feel of the house, and there were no pre-made wooden options that would work for them, I decided to create a custom wooden slide from scratch.
I started by making a mould for the slide to ensure the curves and angles were smooth and safe. Using quality wood, I carefully shaped and carved the slide to ensure it was both functional and visually appealing. Safety was my top priority, so I made sure the slide was smooth enough for an exciting ride, but without compromising on safety.
Alongside the slide, I built the bunk bed from durable wood, with a sturdy frame that provides plenty of space for sleeping and playing. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure it was comfortable, safe and suited the family's needs.
In the end, the project came together beautifully. The wooden bunk bed with slide perfectly complemented the warm, rustic style of the home. The family now has a space where their son can play and rest, while being confident that the furniture is both safe and well made.
