Meet Hugo – Your Freelance Carpenter on Mallorca
Hey there, I'm Hugo – pronounced [You-Go] – and I call the stunning island of Mallorca my home. I provide a wide array of services such as carpentry, woodwork, painting, home improvement and renovations. Whatever needs fixing, count on me to handle it! Additionally, we can communicate in Dutch (Nederlands), German or English and I'm currently in the process of improving my Spanish!

I take on projects of all sizes, whether it's a small handyman job or a major renovation project. It’s also good to know I have a team of trustworthy experts who take care of the work with me. From teacher to carpenter
Want to know more about me? In my professional journey, I've been lucky enough to have a range of different roles. For example, I've worked as a teacher at an agricultural school, where I taught subjects like science and math. On top of that, I've also been in charge of managing warehouse operations for several fashion brands.
Throughout the years, I've found a way to combine my love for travel with my work, which has allowed me to experience different cultures firsthand. I feel very fortunate to have visited places like Asia, Middle East, Australia, Rusia, North- and South America, Mozambique and South Africa and these experiences have truly broadened my perspective on life.
Carpenter Hugo on Mallorca
Marianne and I discovered during our time in Africa that everything looks brighter with plenty of sunshine and we both decided we needed to bring more of that into our daily lives. This led to my decision to switch gears in 2019 and I left behind my job in construction to start a new journey as a freelance carpenter.
I also obtained my carpentry certification and now I'm enjoying the freedom that comes with being a freelancer. Currently, I take on all kinds of renovation and construction projects in Amsterdam and on sunny Mallorca. If you need any help, I'm more than happy to lend a hand!
