FIX IT Jar
The 'FIX IT Jar' is our way of offering a helping hand. It's like a modern-day piggy bank. Whenever possible, we’ll add an extra 2% (or more) to your bill and save that in the FIX IT jar. Additionally, we’ll set aside 2% of our yearly profits to contribute to this fund. This way, we can save money together and help aspiring entrepreneurs who might be short on funds when they need a starting budget.
Why a Fix-it Jar?
Having travelled through different regions of Asia, South and Central America, Mozambique, South Africa and Europe, we realized the importance of supporting each other. This inspired us to create a FIX-IT Jar. Interested in learning more? Keep reading to discover the details!
Good cheer
We’ve been welcomed with open arms into people’s homes and have received support whenever we needed it. In turn, we’ve had the chance to return those acts of kindness. Because of this, we’re eager to keep making a positive difference in the lives of others, helping to build a happier world for everyone. Let’s work together to spread generosity far and wide!
Financial support
What can we do together to make this happen? We make the most of our abilities and lend a hand whenever possible, often without anticipating anything in return. Sometimes, we even offer financial help to those in need, allowing budding entrepreneurs to make meaningful steps forward. After all, everyone could use a little support from time to time, right?
Piggy bank
Our 'FIX IT Jar' represents our commitment to support others. It’s like a modern twist on the classic piggy bank! When you allow us, we’ll add a small percentage—around 2% or more—to your bill, which will go into the FIX IT jar. Additionally, we will contribute 2% of our yearly profits to this fund. This way, we can save up and assist emerging entrepreneurs whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Fix It Jar
The money in the FIX IT Jar is set aside for people we meet along the way who might need a little extra financial help. If a new friend reaches out for support, we’re more than happy to send them some funds without any hesitation. We’ve done this multiple times, and it has made a big difference! We trust their judgment and believe they can make great choices for their future.

Here’s a collection of uplifting examples:
To assist our friend from in Mozambique with his entrepreneurial dreams, Marianne and I invested in a laptop that will help him start his business.
We provided financial support to a Mozambican friend to help him settle his hospital expenses and cover his unpaid rent and grocery costs after he lost his job.
At the retreat centre where my wife worked, she generously offered free yoga classes to the staff, which ultimately paved the way for two Mozambican trainees to become yoga teachers.
At various times, we encouraged our yoga clients to send their payments straight to local charities such as ParCo, and we also dedicated a share of our revenue from Bahia Mar Boutique Hotel to support this school.
We cover the annual costs for Chefstelio.com's website and my wife took the initiative to build a professional site using a platform he selected. She did this at no cost, aiming to assist him in attracting potential clients for his mobile sushi bar in Maputo, Mozambique.
We feel grateful for the opportunity to share our skills, knowledge and financial resources with others. There's always more work to be done, and we promise to keep you updated on our journey!
